Who is DJ Takumii?
DJ Takumii also known as Takumi Hebert grew up in NE Portland Oregon graduating from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Communications in 2022. Takumi grew up with both a passion for soccer and music. Takumi finished his soccer career playing Division 1 in the Pac 12 for Oregon State University which ranked top 10 in the nation all 4 years he attended.
Takumi's collective experiences of DJing includes weddings, school events, charities, grad parties, homecomings, proms, corporate parties, clubs, bars, birthday parties, and much more. Takumi's biggest DJ accolades include working closely with the Oregon Ducks Football Program year-round since 2017, performing a set at the Rose Festival in downtown Portland, and assisting the Common Kings post-game concert held at the University of Oregon. What is Nxt Up Studios?
Nxt Up Studios is an LLC founded by Takumi. Originally created as a sound engineer and music production company back in 2020, Takumi utilized Nxt Up Studios to help pay bills and his college education. Nxt Up Studios provided a recording space for artists and musicians alike, and Takumi was the on-hand producer and engineer working with many different local artists with an array of genres. Nxt Up Studios still provides mixing and mastering services to this day. Takumi eventually expanded the business to include mobile DJ services in both the Portland and Las Vegas areas.
Designed by Takumi, the idea behind the logo is to showcase a turntable record on a soccer badge showcasing Takumi's love for both. The noise meter above the crest is meant to represent a crown to leave the interpretation up to the viewer of its symbolism.
